Important Notice:
A small number of early production units were mistakenly shipped with an incorrect firmware version, which may cause intermittent USB connection instability or unexpected disconnections on some systems.

If your spinner experiences occasional disconnects or unstable operation, we strongly recommend upgrading to Firmware v2.64. This firmware corrects the issue and improves overall stability and compatibility.

MiSTer FPGA Firmware(2.65-MiST)

This optional firmware is designed for customers using a compatible spinner with a MiSTer FPGA system.

MiSTer generally treats a standalone USB spinner as a mouse and cannot remap individual mouse buttons through its controller-binding interface. As a result, the spinner’s Push/Pull inputs may not work as expected in some arcade cores. This firmware provides a workaround by assigning the primary and secondary mouse-click functions to the Scroll Up and Scroll Down button connections.

Installation and setup

1. Download and install the MiSTer-compatible firmware using the standard firmware-update procedure.

2. Connect your gameplay buttons to the following terminals:

   • Scroll Up: Primary fire / Mouse Left Click
   • Scroll Down: Secondary fire / Mouse Right Click

3. Open the mister.ini file and add:

   spinner_vid=0x32be
   spinner_pid=0x20d0

These values apply when the spinner is configured with device ID 0. The PID may change if a different device ID is selected. If MiSTer does not detect the spinner, locate its current VID and PID in the MiSTer USB device list and enter those values instead.

Alternatively, configure MiSTer to recognize all connected mouse devices as spinners:

   spinner_vid=0xFFFF
   spinner_pid=0xFFFF

4. Open the arcade core’s settings and select Spinner as the input device.
5. Use Scroll Up for primary fire and Scroll Down for secondary fire.

This configuration is compatible with cores such as Arkanoid and Tempest. Individual cores control how mouse-button inputs are handled, so behavior may vary between games.

Important: This firmware is specifically intended for MiSTer FPGA compatibility. Use the Scroll Up and Scroll Down connections for action buttons. MiSTer may not recognize the spinner’s physical Push/Pull actions as assignable controls. Keep a copy of the standard firmware in case you want to restore the original configuration.
