Great little machine.

Finding a Pi was the hardest thing. I do wish the "interchangeable" decks were easier to do than tearing apart the machine to replace it. That is the one drawback to this design. It makes it look like the "interchangeable" decks were an after thought and is too difficult to swap out just to play tempest or crazy climber.

Excellent Enthusiast and Hobbyist Kit.

The given instructions for build are great especially for an Enthusiast and Hobbyist that like to get hands dirty physically and mentally. Once built finding roms took a bit and then getting them in right location is not very straight forwards especially when looking to determine joystick configurations. Still, I find myself tweaking and messing with settings and configuration daily while intermittently enjoying my old arcade classics!

A must for the Enthusiast and Hobbyist!

Good but could of been great!!!

First off, the manual was not written in a easy manner in some cases in the wrong order for example: tells us to assemble 3 sides of cabinet, then says plug in the USB cables into the Pi, which was only just able to, surely it makes sense to plug them in as soon as Pi fitted.
Next thing, are the 4 x 3 aspect ratio games, they are centralised both ways on the screen, which makes it difficult to see the whole screen, surely it's possible to have those games display at the bottom of the screen, by way of software.
So we can get a better experience.
But on the whole a good device, but a better design for swapping control boards, would have made it great.
