The GRS BUILD-A-CADE 1:6 arcade Pi kit is easy to assemble and configure. Using your own Raspberry Pi™ 3 or 4, power supply, and games, you’ll build a working 1:6 scale arcade machine capable of playing many of your favorite arcade classics (not included). You’ll learn how to install and configure RetroPie™ to get the most out of your GRS BUILD-A-CADE 1:6 Arcade Pi kit.

The included Joystick control panel has 3 buttons; 2 start and 1 action. Additional control panels are available for more gameplay options. Collect the 5-Button Joystick, Trackball, and Spinner control panels, each with 2 start and 3 action buttons, and the 3-Button Dual Joystick panel with 2 start and 1 action button.

Genuinely a lot of fun simply to assemble

I received one of these and combined with a custom art kit for Donkey Kong. I laid out all the pieces on a Monday evening while watching TV and had a fantastic time just putting the thing together. Setting it up was pretty easy, just a matter of following the instructions and getting the system onto my Wifi. It now sits on my shelf with some other games and creates my Zen arcade space. I'm planning on doing another with the Joust graphics soon.

Build-A-Cade is Great!

I bought this as a STEM project for my 10 year old boy, and he loved it. Took us about three hours to put together and get up-and-running with some online video help. Highly recommended!

Excelsior!

I am a newbie that was thought I was going to be over my head trying to get into retro gaming. This product helped me overcome any doubts. It is simple enough for newbies like me, but I can also see that the system offers so much more that I can’t wait to explore. I ran into a few snags with my build, mostly due by watching how to build videos on YouTube that installed a Pi. I choose to get the viper as this is going to be used in the FU. I received quick and helpful help via email from this site. I can’t say thank you loud enough for this product and for their support.

Must have for anyone who loves retro arcade games!

I purchased 1 about a month ago, my wife who isn’t much of a gamer, saw it and said it was one of the coolest things she saw and told me I should buy some more (can you say Soulmate!). So naturally I did what my wife said and bought 3 more! I am waiting for the arcade decals I ordered before putting them together. The decals are on a shipping delay due to poor weather. I bought a cabinet for the 4 different control panels(I ordered the 4 pack). When I have them built and up and running, I will share some pics! I can’t wait to have the other put together! My advice buy several and start reminiscing!

A Home Run!

I just realized that I forgot to leave a review. The BAC is absolutely amazing! Not only is it a breeze to put together, but it's a lot of fun. I had mine up and running in about an hour including applying my graphics. It's so cool that the kit comes as a blank canvas for giving it your own theme. And my theme was my favorite game which is Dragon's Lair and with the help of the GRS BAC Facebook commuity, I had Dragon's Lair up and running flawlessly. I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to build their own mini arcade machine. I also highly recommend getting the control panel set with the panel pod as they make it super easy for playing games that require controls such as a spinner or a trackball etc...
